Simon Layfield

Today marks the ten-year anniversary of Simon Layfield’s sad passing.

Some of you will remember that he was one of the equity partners here at Wilks Head and Eve where he worked for around 25 years.

He is still missed here by all of us and especially the Partners and his valuation team – all of which are still working at the practice ten years later which is a testament to the foundation and legacy he created for the team.

Simon had two main extra-curricular pursuits in addition to being a fellow of the RICS and IRRV, covering Railways and Cycling.

He was a key member of the Rocks-by-Rail Museum and an accredited coach for Junior cyclists which he did with his wife Sophie.

Last year we completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for the Isabel Hospice who looked after him at the end and we raised an incredible £2,500.
