ROGER MESSENGER 

17 May 1958 – 16 November 2020

It is with great sadness that the Partners and Staff at Wilks Head & Eve announce the passing of Roger Messenger.

Roger Messenger was the Senior Partner of  Wilks Head and Eve and had been with the partnership for over 40 years when he sadly passed away.  Roger will be greatly missed by colleagues, friends and acquaintances together with everyone at Wilks Head & Eve.

As many of you know Roger was a  member of the Council of the Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation and  was President of the Institute in 2001/02 and also in 2011/12 which is very unusual. Roger was  also past president of Rating Surveyors Association and current committee member as well as being  Vice President and  Chairman of TEGoVA, 70,000 Valuers across Europe, a  board member and the Vice Chairman.

Roger was also a recognised European Valuer.

Roger was an established speaker on the commercial conference circuit had extensive knowledge of rating valuation and was a member of a number of institutes; he was able to ‘first hand’ gain information in relation to changes in legislation and was  involved in central negotiations.

Roger was well known throughout the Rating Community.

Our thoughts and sympathies are with his wife and family at this difficult time.
